In this edition of BigTime Podcast, COO of Rios Partners, Chris Wimbush, walks us through a day in the life working at one of the top management consulting firms in the country right now. In a little over a year, they’ve gone from 20 employees to over 80 — an incredible amount of growth in such a short timespan. Yet, their business model has always been “Big Firm Results at Small Firm Rates”. Today, we’re going to learn more about their continued growth and hiring strategy as a late-stage startup.
At its most basic level, Rios Partners is helping organizations in the public, private, and non-profit sectors to innovate their product development process, improve supply chain logistics, analyze policies, and so much more. But what does it really take to launch a career in management consulting?
Wimbush explains how their company is a big proponent of human-centered design in everything that they do. From the management and governance at the top of an organization structure all the way down to customers and clients that they reach, it’s all about understanding people.
“A lot of our work is powered by human-centered design and we’re a firm that tries to infuse human-centered design into everything that we do, taking into account both customer and employee experience.”
-Chris Wimbush, COO of Rios Partners
